Many people wonder about the name "Leaf Mountain". It actually began when my daughter Jessica started calling Mt. Meeker (which she could see from her bedroom) "Leaf Mountain". When asked why, she pointed out that the snow in the crevices made it look like an aspen leaf that rested in the heart of the mountain. It made me realize that so much of life is just variations of perception. What a then-6-year-old saw as a leaf others didn't notice until I pointed it out to them. In my work I hope to give a new perception to those who view it. I started Leaf Mountain Images in February 2004.
